Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Botshol's René Zeegelaar started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd match minute, Botshol was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Henry Tieleman to maneuver through the defense. Jan Roorda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diderik Stuijvenberg in the 9th minute of play. René Zeegelaar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Niek Timmermans tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 15 minutes into the game, René Zeegelaar cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Niek Timmermans was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rudolf de Zaaijer in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Niek Timmermans saved Heerewaarden from getting behind. After having played for 27 minutes, Rudolf de Zaaijer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Botshol's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rudolf de Zaaijer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 33rd minute Diderik Stuijvenberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan Roorda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 35th minute, René Zeegelaar made a precise shot to the right of Niek Timmermans. Heerewaarden's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Henry Tieleman hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Botshol's zone, Han Schildkamp stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jan Roorda came out of the goal and Han Schildkamp tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Diderik Stuijvenberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Diderik Stuijvenberg made a kick off. Han Schildkamp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Han Schildkamp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rudolf de Zaaijer got free with Niek Timmermans in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Diderik Stuijvenberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Heerewaarden's Niek Timmermans played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by René Zeegelaar in the 79th minute of play. Diderik Stuijvenberg scored 1-3 in the 91st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jan Roorda, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Botshol had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
