Jacques Colen came out of the goal and Gerard Roewen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Gerard Roewen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rith's supporters rose to their feet, but Gerard Roewen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jacques Colen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eddy de Zwart got free with Jacques Colen in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 16 minutes into the match, Oplo FC's goalkeeper Jacques Colen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eddy de Zwart. After having played for 21 minutes, Gerard Roewen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rith's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gerard Roewen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dirk-Jan Hulsebos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tonny Klinkhamer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jacco Colen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alfred Schenkhuizen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jacco Colen stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rinus Anneese hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. After 54 minutes of play, Rith's Gerard Roewen made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jacques Colen was left in no man's land by his defense there! With his leg Dirk-Jan Hulsebos managed to avoid a goal in the 63rdth minute, when Oplo FC's Tonny Klinkhamer fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Dirk-Jan Hulsebos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tonny Klinkhamer in the 65th minute. Abraham Klaassen kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Tonny Klinkhamer took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dirk-Jan Hulsebos. Dirk-Jan Hulsebos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Alfred Schenkhuizen hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Jacques Colen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gerard Roewen went, in the 79th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Rith's Dirk-Jan Hulsebos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacco Colen in the 84th minute of play. Tonny Klinkhamer's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 89thth minute, Dirk-Jan Hulsebos skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 91st minute, Eddy de Zwart got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
