If Youri Woudenberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Oudwoude getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Youri Woudenberg hit a great ball. Boukjan Spannenburg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sven Nedergaard, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Freek Knuppel hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Andre Wittendorp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Boukjan Spannenburg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Oudwoude's Cees Bleiswijk got a free kick in the 16th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jochem Meijering during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Riemer Aalberts made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 19thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Paul van der Aa would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. In the 26th minute of the match Douwe Zegeling sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Boukjan Spannenburg skillfully saved the ball. Cees Bleiswijk charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cees Bleiswijk the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Cees Bleiswijk hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Sven Nedergaard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 42 minutes into the game, René Alberda was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Leuvenheim's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Oudwoude the free kick. René Alberda hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Freek Knuppel was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 43rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Youri Woudenberg to make the kick off. In the 62nd minute, Sven Nedergaard got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Leuvenheim's zone, Riemer Aalberts stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paul van der Aa came out of the goal and Riemer Aalberts tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 67 minutes, Youri Woudenberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Oudwoude's supporters crossed their fingers, but Youri Woudenberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Youri Woudenberg in the 73rd minute of play forced Leuvenheim's goalkeeper Paul van der Aa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Boukjan Spannenburg made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Sven Nedergaard sent off a good shot on target. In the 77th minute Riemer Aalberts shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paul van der Aa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Andre Wittendorp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Leuvenheim's zone, Youri Woudenberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paul van der Aa came out of the goal and Youri Woudenberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 89th minute, Youri Woudenberg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Oudwoude fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. If Sven Nedergaard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. For all the effort they put into the match, the Leuvenheim players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Oudwoude.
