Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Jurre van Fessum made the kick off and thus started the match. Jurre van Fessum fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geert Stuijt having to interfere. If Pieter Eiting had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maren's Mathieu Dekkers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Laurens de Jong in the 10th minute of play. If Laurens de Jong had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 17th minute, Co Kip got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Laurens de Jong had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Laurens de Jong sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Laurens de Jong received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Mathieu Dekkers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 28th minute Laurens de Jong shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mathieu Dekkers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Co Kip sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Horzik HC's Edgard Reints got a free kick in the 40th minute. Klaas de Putter charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Klaas de Putter the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Maren getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Klaas de Putter hit a great ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Laurens de Jong to make the kick off. If Pieter Eiting had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pieter Eiting recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mathieu Dekkers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Laurens de Jong in the 66th minute of play. Mathieu Dekkers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Laurens de Jong, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Jurre van Fessum sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jurre van Fessum in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Geert Stuijt saved Horzik HC from getting behind. Geert Stuijt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jurre van Fessum in the 93rd minute of the match. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
