Reinhard Diggele received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 2nd minute. Kristian Driel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Erwin Geraets's late challenge caught a Essebroek's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Erwin Geraets helped the player get up and apologised. In the 5th match minute, Westergast was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erwin Geraets to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Reinhard Diggele managed to get in a good position for a shot. Westergast's supporters rose to their feet, but Reinhard Diggele was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kristian Driel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 10th minute Gerwin de Jong shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pascall Swart saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Westergast booed when Essebroek was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sipke Ubels didn't get a good kick on the ball. The long shot by Marcus Schuurman in the 23rd minute really tested Kristian Driel's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. With his leg Kristian Driel managed to avoid a goal in the 24thth minute, when Westergast's Reinhard Diggele fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. A collision led to Essebroek getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Sipke Ubels hit a great ball. Reinhard Diggele received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Niek Nagel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Kristian Driel made a huge save. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Reinhard Diggele made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 53 minutes, Reinhard Diggele managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Westergast's supporters crossed their fingers, but Reinhard Diggele was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Martijn Fikkers hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. After 61 minutes of play, Westergast's Niek Nagel made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kristian Driel was left in no man's land by his defense there! 64 minutes into the match, Westergast's goal looked a bit too open when Gerwin de Jong came free, but Pascall Swart reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pascall Swart made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerwin de Jong in the 70th minute of play. If Niek Nagel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Reinhard Diggele received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Kristian Driel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Niek Nagel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Gerwin de Jong had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Gerwin de Jong came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Essebroek fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gerwin de Jong couldn't finish the play. Max de Mol could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Pascall Swart made a huge save. After having played for 95 minutes, Reinhard Diggele managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Westergast's supporters crossed their fingers, but Reinhard Diggele was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Westergast fully deserved thier win.
