Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Mullem HC's Arjan Boelens started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Hans-Cees Middel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Raymond Theuws made a huge save. In the 6th match minute, Broekveld was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gert Jan Bosstraeten to maneuver through the defense. Arjan Boelens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 11 minutes into the match, Mullem HC's Hans-Cees Middel sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Raymond Theuws narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Broekveld's Raymond Theuws played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arjan Boelens in the 12th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafael Knuppel in the 15th minute of play forced Mullem HC's goalkeeper Martin Beukers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 17th minute, Stefano Klap hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Rafael Knuppel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Wim Wessels during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Broekveld booed when Mullem HC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wim Wessels didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pascal Dol hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Raymond Theuws showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arjan Boelens, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. If Hans-Cees Middel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Hans-Cees Middel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raymond Theuws having to interfere. A collision led to Broekveld getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Roland Wemers hit a great ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rafael Knuppel to strike the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes Mullem HC got a freekick which was hit by Wim Wessels. Thanks to some nice moves Willem van der Velden could shoot a difficult shot in the 56th minute, which Martin Beukers however easily saved by the left post. Arjan Boelens's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Raymond Theuws read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. Rafael Knuppel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 74th play minute Willem van der Velden came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Martin Beukers. 0-1. 82 minutes into the match, Mullem HC's goalkeeper Martin Beukers had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Willem van der Velden. After a defensive mix-up in Mullem HC's zone, Willem van der Velden stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Martin Beukers came out of the goal and Willem van der Velden tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 86th minute, Broekveld's Rafael Knuppel dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. An unexpected shot in the 91st minute by Rafael Knuppel got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side.
