Leon Zoetmulder made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mario Zwaanswijk in the 6th minute. Azelo's Leon Zoetmulder proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Azelo from getting a goal against them. In the 28th minute, Pepijn Geurtsen made a precise shot to the right of Joep Buys. Koolwijk's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Henry Oldenborger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Elroy Schophuis's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 41stth minute, Leon Zoetmulder skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Henry Oldenborger to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Pepijn Geurtsen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Azelo's supporters rose to their feet, but Pepijn Geurtsen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joep Buys breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 57 minutes into the match, Henry Oldenborger notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Azelo's Leon Zoetmulder. Leon Zoetmulder was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Pepijn Geurtsen might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Joep Buys. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pepijn Geurtsen ran back to his position shaking his head. With an all-out effort, Azelo's Joep Buys threw himself towards the right post 77 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Pepijn Geurtsen, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The audience thought a goal was coming when Philip Spannenburg got free with Joep Buys in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Leon Zoetmulder stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Henry Oldenborger's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. Henry Oldenborger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
