Oosterbroek's Steve Adriaanse played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcus Heck in the 8th minute of play. In the 9th match minute, Pasewaaij FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Peter van Rhijn to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Pasewaaij FC's zone, Roger Oorthuis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abraham Adriaanse came out of the goal and Roger Oorthuis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Harm Buring had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Steve Adriaanse made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcus Heck in the 17th minute of play. Koos Nelissen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Frits Roeters kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Abraham Adriaanse made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Danny Terpstra sent off a good shot on target. Steve Adriaanse took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcus Heck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 43 played minutes Oosterbroek got a freekick which was hit by Alexander Beishuizen. In the 44th minute, Koos Nelissen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Koos Nelissen to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Oosterbroek's Roger Oorthuis got a free kick in the 75th minute. A hard shot by Thijs Kip from long distance, 76 minutes into the match, got Steve Adriaanse's attention.
