Pieter Landzaat charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pieter Landzaat the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Kelpen's Pieter Landzaat got a free kick in the 7th minute. Klaas Jan Steyns sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Klaas Jan Steyns had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 19 minutes into the match, Mije's goal looked a bit too open when Marnix de Coninck came free, but Arie Schuurman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kelpen's Sjaak Jol played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kristof Kroeze in the 26th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Sipke Wesveld managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mije's supporters rose to their feet, but Sipke Wesveld was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sjaak Jol breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 32 minutes into the match, Sipke Wesveld had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sjaak Jol. Kelpen's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sipke Wesveld was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The Kelpen players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Mije were winning 0-1.

In the 52nd minute, Marnix de Coninck ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arie Schuurman was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Arie Schuurman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Klaas Jan Steyns, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Kelpen fans' excitement grew in the 63rd match minute when Kelpen's Klaas Jan Steyns looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Kristof Kroeze could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Sjaak Jol made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marnix de Coninck in the 72nd minute of play forced Mije's goalkeeper Arie Schuurman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Klaas Jan Steyns had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Marnix de Coninck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Mije getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. David Wittendorp hit a great ball. In the 87th minute, Maurice Haan sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Mije's Arie Schuurman didn't even have to move. Klaas Jan Steyns struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Arie Schuurman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kelpen. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by David Wittendorp during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 90th minute, David Wittendorp hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arie Schuurman came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Kelpen's Marnix de Coninck. But to his dismay, Marnix de Coninck quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Kelpen had won after a very even match.
