The supporters of Terwinseien HC booed when Kelpen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lex Heide didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lennart Lambers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Sjaak Jol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 14 played minutes Kelpen got a freekick which was hit by Pieter Landzaat. In the 18th minute of the match Maurice Verbeek shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Menno Boon showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Gio Spaan took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 21st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Menno Boon. Terwinseien HC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a rather tough play, Terwinseien HC's Elroy Clarijs got a free kick in the 26th minute. After 31 played minutes Terwinseien HC got a freekick which was hit by Elroy Clarijs. Menno Boon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Klaas Jan Steyns, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Egbert Eefting who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 36thth minute tested the skills of Sjaak Jol when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With a little luck, Kelpen's Sjaak Jol got control of the ball when Egbert Eefting tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Kelpen booed when Terwinseien HC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucas Ostermann didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Sjaak Jol showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lennart Lambers, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Sjaak Jol took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Egbert Eefting, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Marnix de Coninck managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kelpen's supporters rose to their feet, but Marnix de Coninck was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Menno Boon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Maurice Verbeek kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Egbert Eefting received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Sjaak Jol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sjaak Jol showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lennart Lambers in the 84th minute of the match. Egbert Eefting struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Sjaak Jol didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Terwinseien HC. Marnix de Coninck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 94 minutes, Marnix de Coninck took a quick shot and it went in 0-1 without a chance for Menno Boon to make any attempt to save it.
