Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Sander Need sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Martien Raatjes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Frits Steffens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 11 minutes into the match, Kortendijk FC's goal looked a bit too open when Martien Raatjes came free, but Frits Steffens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Huub Spaan kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Wim Weerman. That made the score 1-0 in the 20 minute of play. Sander Need fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frits Steffens having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Peter Roeles during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 25th minute, Peter Roeles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Huub Spaan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Wim Weerman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Huub Spaan in the 31st minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Huub Spaan in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wim Weerman saved Tokalmar from getting behind. If Sander Need had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 41st minute, Dries Grasmaaijer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bert Schie was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 42nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. With his leg Wim Weerman managed to avoid a goal in the 46thth minute, when Kortendijk FC's Fabian Geers fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Huub Spaan received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Wim Weerman came out and tried to block the shot, but Huub Spaan slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 47th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Martien Raatjes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 58th minute Huub Spaan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wim Weerman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 63 minutes into the match, Kortendijk FC's Huub Spaan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Wim Weerman narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Arjen van Galen hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. 72 minutes into the match, Tokalmar's goal looked a bit too open when Huub Spaan came free, but Wim Weerman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 80 minutes of play, Kortendijk FC's Huub Spaan made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wim Weerman was left in no man's land by his defense there! Wim Weerman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Huub Spaan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wim Weerman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Huub Spaan, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Kortendijk FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
