A collision led to Haasdal getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Jacob Reints hit a great ball. Hette Zielman had several of the Haasdal's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 5 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Elco Wilbrink as he didn't even see the shot coming. Elco Wilbrink made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Sipke Opdam sent off a good shot on target. John Kloppenburg kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. In the 10th minute of the match Albert Warneke sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Billy Akkerboom skillfully saved the ball. Youri Gerfen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Jan Staarman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sipke Opdam could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Elco Wilbrink made a huge save. 28 minutes into the match, Booneschans HC's goal looked a bit too open when Youri Gerfen came free, but Billy Akkerboom reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Booneschans HC's Billy Akkerboom played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Youri Gerfen in the 30th minute of play. Jan Staarman scored 1-1 in the 33rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Billy Akkerboom, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jan Staarman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Billy Akkerboom having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hette Zielman to make the kick off. Jan Staarman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Billy Akkerboom tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Haasdal defense, Hette Zielman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Elco Wilbrink. The Haasdal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Elco Wilbrink should have stopped the shot. The audience was convinced that Jan Staarman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Billy Akkerboom was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Booneschans HC's Maurice Daelemans got a free kick in the 60th minute. In the 61st minute, Jan Staarman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jan Staarman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jan Staarman ran back to his position shaking his head. Haasdal's Jan Staarman got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A very good chance. 94 minutes in the game, Youri Gerfen fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Billy Akkerboom having to interfere. In the 96th minute, Youri Gerfen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
