Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Eddy Dalmeijer took the kick off in the first half of the match. Gijs Busch showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorn Wijnands in the 5th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Driebergen HC's zone, Eddy Dalmeijer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jacob Snijders came out of the goal and Eddy Dalmeijer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jacob Snijders was a little too slow when Mario Wijkstra got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 7th minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 13th minute Eddy Dalmeijer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacob Snijders saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jorn Wijnands fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gijs Busch having to interfere. Mario Wijkstra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 37th minute, Anthony Alkema left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Driebergen HC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Mario Wijkstra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Jacob Snijders tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jacob Snijders stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eddy Dalmeijer's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. A collision led to Driebergen HC getting a freekick after 49 minutes play. Jan Klap hit a great ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Anthony Alkema was the one to do the kick off. Vennen's Gijs Busch played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anthony Alkema in the 55th minute of play. Gijs Busch was out of position in the 66 minute of play, and Jan Klap capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jan Klap really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. In the 71st minute, Fred Bust hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Driebergen HC's Gert Jan Schie couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Vennen. Mario Wijkstra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 81st minute, Niels Hertog hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Anthony Alkema had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jorn Wijnands succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-3 in the 89th playminute. Jacob Snijders took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bart Brunt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Anthony Alkema sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Driebergen HC booed when Vennen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mickael Zorge didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Driebergen HC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
