Gertjan Haydon was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Victor Hendrik de Wolf. When Mario Zijlstra came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Haskerdijken HC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mario Zijlstra couldn't finish the play. In the 34th minute, Haskerdijken HC's David Ijksma ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gertjan Haydon. Gertjan Haydon yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. David Ijksma fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gertjan Haydon having to interfere. After 41 minutes, Hans-Cees Daelemans mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Plein and the Haskerdijken HC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Haskerdijken HC booed when Plein was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hans-Cees Daelemans didn't get a good kick on the ball. David Ijksma sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Haskerdijken HC booed when Plein was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hans-Cees Daelemans didn't get a good kick on the ball. Plein's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ted Geurtsen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Oliver Hoiting had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in Haskerdijken HC's zone, Ted Geurtsen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Andy Oss came out of the goal and Ted Geurtsen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Klaas Jan Caluwé received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Andy Oss tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mario Zijlstra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gertjan Haydon having to interfere. Klaas Jan Caluwé's late challenge caught a Haskerdijken HC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Klaas Jan Caluwé helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Plein getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Klaas Jan Caluwé hit a great ball. In the 91st minute, David Ijksma ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gertjan Haydon was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0.
