Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Christijan Riemers started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Vlaas FC's Roland van der Sar got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Christijan Riemers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Cor Smit tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 6th match minute, Vlaas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Damien Kip to maneuver through the defense. Bill Höhenstein fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kees van Zaanen having to interfere. With his leg Cor Smit managed to avoid a goal in the 13thth minute, when Vlaas FC's Roland van der Sar fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 13th minute, Theo Krijnenburg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Damien Kip charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Damien Kip the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Vlaas FC's Damien Kip got a free kick in the 20th minute. 21 minutes into the game, Henny Boshuis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vlaas FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Zeumeren HC the free kick. A collision led to Vlaas FC getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Henny Boshuis hit a great ball. In the 24th minute, Bill Höhenstein left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Zeumeren HC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Roland van der Sar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Cor Smit made a huge save. Berend Germs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cor Smit made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Roland van der Sar sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Zeumeren HC's zone, Damien Kip stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cor Smit came out of the goal and Damien Kip tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cor Smit took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christijan Riemers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 46 minutes into the game, one of Zeumeren HC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bill Höhenstein made a kick off. Henny Boshuis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cor Smit having to interfere. Cor Smit took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christijan Riemers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 59th minute, Roland van der Sar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cor Smit was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christijan Riemers in the 65th minute of play forced Zeumeren HC's goalkeeper Cor Smit to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 68 minutes, Berend Germs managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zeumeren HC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Berend Germs was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Berend Germs's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 71stth minute, Kees van Zaanen skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Berend Germs could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Kees van Zaanen made a huge save. In the 86th minute Bill Höhenstein shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kees van Zaanen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Henny Boshuis got his second yellow card in the match during the 87th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Henny Boshuis hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. After 90 played minutes Han Grijp shot from long distance. At first the shot seemed to be simple for Vlaas FC's Kees van Zaanen to catch but Han Grijp was lucky. It became 1-2 after the goalkeeper had been careless and dropped the ball into goal. Berend Germs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zeumeren HC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
