Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Dirk de Visser took the kick off in the first half of the match. With a little luck, Bredevoort's Marco van Westerop got control of the ball when Donald de Graaf tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 4th minute Dirk de Visser shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Co van Zijderveld saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Victor Taalman fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Orten's protests and gave Victor Taalman a yellow card for diving instead. Pascal van Kampen kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Martijn Teunissen received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Marco van Westerop came out and tried to block the shot, but Martijn Teunissen slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 10th minute. With an all-out effort, Orten's Marco van Westerop threw himself towards the right post 15 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Martijn Teunissen, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. A collision led to Bredevoort getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Jaap Anker hit a great ball. In the 19th minute Martijn Teunissen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco van Westerop saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Martijn Teunissen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marco van Westerop was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. Marco van Westerop showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martijn Teunissen, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Thijs Siebum during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Orten booed when Bredevoort was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thijs Siebum didn't get a good kick on the ball. Martijn Teunissen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Martijn Teunissen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 37th minute of the match, Martijn Teunissen tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Marco van Westerop saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 39th minute, Wilfred van Aalderen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Orten's Ruud Ijksma got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Martijn Teunissen made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Orten's Pascal van Kampen got a free kick in the 56th minute. After 56 played minutes, Bredevoort's Rudi Lurling shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Co van Zijderveld came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Bredevoort reached it. Ruud Ijksma recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marco van Westerop took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martijn Teunissen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 64 minutes, Ruud Ijksma managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Orten's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ruud Ijksma was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 67 played minutes Orten got a freekick which was hit by Ruud Ijksma. Jaap Anker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Orten's Ben Koops got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Ruud Ijksma sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marco van Westerop showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ruud Ijksma, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. The supporters of Bredevoort booed when Orten was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Harm Meyer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Co van Zijderveld showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dirk de Visser in the 84th minute of the match. Orten's Co van Zijderveld proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Orten from getting a goal against them. After 87 minutes, Pascal van Kampen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Orten and the Bredevoort players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Bredevoort booed when Orten was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pascal van Kampen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ruud Ijksma struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Marco van Westerop didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Orten.
