Edgar de Vries received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Benjamin Haken tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Humberto Wagenaar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ben Idelberger in the 12th minute of play. When Selissen S.C.'s Edgar de Vries in the 13th minute got a chance for a shot 13th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hoeven's goalie prevented a goal. Bjorn Rodenberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Edgar de Vries had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 18 minutes into the match, Hoeven's goal looked a bit too open when Edgar de Vries came free, but Benjamin Haken reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ben Idelberger in the 20th minute of play forced Selissen S.C.'s goalkeeper Humberto Wagenaar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Selissen S.C. booed when Hoeven was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ben Idelberger didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Selissen S.C.'s Mark Decheiver tried to score from far away in the 37th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 39 minutes into the match, Hoeven's goal looked a bit too open when Edgar Boerma came free, but Benjamin Haken reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
The wind increased when Edgar de Vries made the kick off in the second half. Ben Idelberger struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Humberto Wagenaar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hoeven. In the 62nd minute Ben Idelberger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Humberto Wagenaar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 83 played minutes, Hoeven's Adriaan Mook shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Humberto Wagenaar came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Hoeven reached it. Harm Zevenberg was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Ben Idelberger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Selissen S.C. had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
