Martijn Teunissen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Humberto Wagenaar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 11th match minute, Selissen S.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ruben van Rhijn to maneuver through the defense. The audience held their breath when Leon Wegman in the 13th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Humberto Wagenaar's left hand side. Martijn Teunissen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Ruud Ijksma's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Humberto Wagenaar was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. In the 20th minute Ruud Ijksma shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Humberto Wagenaar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Ruud Ijksma put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Humberto Wagenaar. A collision led to Selissen S.C. getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Michael Polak hit a great ball. A hard shot 28 in the game by Edgar de Vries from a close distance when the talented Co van Zijderveld managed to make a qualified save. Orten's players were relieved. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgar de Vries in the 30th minute of play forced Orten's goalkeeper Co van Zijderveld to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Selissen S.C.'s Humberto Wagenaar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martijn Teunissen in the 33rd minute of play. Mark Decheiver charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mark Decheiver the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 39th minute, one of Selissen S.C.:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Selissen S.C.. Jens Bouwman who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 47thth minute tested the skills of Co van Zijderveld when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After the first half Orten were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edgar de Vries stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Co van Zijderveld came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Selissen S.C.'s Jens Bouwman. But to his dismay, Jens Bouwman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. If Martijn Teunissen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Selissen S.C.'s Ruben van Rhijn got a free kick in the 59th minute. In the 60th minute, Leon Wegman left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Orten fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. Martijn Teunissen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Orten's Co van Zijderveld played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgar de Vries in the 72nd minute of play. If Martijn Teunissen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 76 minutes into the game, Edgar de Vries was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Selissen S.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Orten the free kick. Selissen S.C.'s Humberto Wagenaar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Selissen S.C. from getting a goal against them. Ruud Ijksma who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 81stth minute tested the skills of Humberto Wagenaar when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Co van Zijderveld showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jens Bouwman in the 87th minute of the match. Edgar de Vries struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Co van Zijderveld didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Selissen S.C.. Orten's Co van Zijderveld played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgar de Vries in the 91st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgar de Vries in the 96th minute of play forced Orten's goalkeeper Co van Zijderveld to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Orten had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
