Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Teo Borst took the kick off in the first half of the match. After 8 minutes, Tomas Steen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sandtfort HC and the Oosterhout HC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Tomas Steen kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Mathias Rinzema, 8 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 10th minute, Teo Borst got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 18th minute, Henk de Jong hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kees Damen was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 19th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Giel Jacobs hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Oosterhout HC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 23rd minute. Penalty! Rafael Duin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dirk Waard, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Oosterhout HC's Rafael Duin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dirk Waard in the 31st minute of play. 38 minutes into the game, Oosterhout HC's Teo Borst nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fernando Baatenburg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Teo Borst hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Rafael Duin didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 43rd minute, which inside left pole to 3-1. Rafael Duin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dirk Waard, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dirk Waard to make the kick off. In the 50th match minute, Sandtfort HC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomas Steen to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Sandtfort HC's Fernando Baatenburg got control of the ball when Ivo Veentjer tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 55th match minute, Sandtfort HC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ronny Krijnenburg to maneuver through the defense. Ivo Veentjer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Fernando Baatenburg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ivo Veentjer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Fernando Baatenburg made a huge save. If Teo Borst had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Teo Borst's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fernando Baatenburg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. 76 minutes into the match, Sandtfort HC's goal looked a bit too open when Teo Borst came free, but Fernando Baatenburg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Sandtfort HC's zone, Teo Borst stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fernando Baatenburg came out of the goal and Teo Borst tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 86th minute, Reinier Grijpstra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Through an outstanding action, after 93 minutes, Fernando Baatenburg successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 96 minutes into the game, Teo Borst recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Fernando Baatenburg. Teo Borst showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-2. Oosterhout HC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
