Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Roger van Zonderen kicked off to start the match. 2 minutes into the game, Bennie Henselmans was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ravenswoud HC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Zanddijk the free kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Roger van Zonderen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zanddijk's supporters rose to their feet, but Roger van Zonderen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Reinier Lindenbergh breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 4 played minutes Ravenswoud HC got a freekick which was hit by Bennie Henselmans. If Roger van Zonderen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zanddijk's Brain van Kampen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maurits Timmer in the 15th minute of play. In the 19th minute Maurits Timmer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brain van Kampen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Godfried Mol in the 22nd minute of play forced Zanddijk's goalkeeper Brain van Kampen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Maurits Timmer's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Brain van Kampen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. Maurits Timmer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brain van Kampen having to interfere. Jouke Jans fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reinier Lindenbergh having to interfere. Zanddijk's Roger van Zonderen got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gerben Hillen took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 46th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Reinier Lindenbergh. Ravenswoud HC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After the first half Ravenswoud HC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Maurits Timmer to make the kick off. Brain van Kampen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Godfried Mol in the 56th minute. Jouke Jans struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Reinier Lindenbergh didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zanddijk. Aad Brinke hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Roger van Zonderen scored 1-1 in the 64th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Reinier Lindenbergh, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Reinier Lindenbergh showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roger van Zonderen in the 68th minute of the match. Roy Ridder kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. When Godfried Mol came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Ravenswoud HC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Godfried Mol couldn't finish the play. Gerben Hillen took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 79th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Reinier Lindenbergh. Ravenswoud HC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 84th minute, Roger van Zonderen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Reinier Lindenbergh came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by Zanddijk's Jouke Jans. But to his dismay, Jouke Jans quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. With a little luck, Zanddijk's Brain van Kampen got control of the ball when Godfried Mol tried to sneak it across the goal line. 90 minutes into the match, Zanddijk's goalkeeper Brain van Kampen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Godfried Mol. Maurits Timmer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Reinier Lindenbergh showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roger van Zonderen, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Roy Ridder was shown his second yellow card after 96 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The supporters of Ravenswoud HC booed when Zanddijk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roy Ridder didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zanddijk were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Ravenswoud HC for a fine match.
