With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mirko Reinders in the 5th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jan-Willem de Hoop saved Mije from getting behind. Jan-Willem de Hoop showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Giel Veenhuis, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Jan-Willem de Hoop didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mirko Reinders went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Pittelo FC's Jack de Visscher played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damien Eringa in the 18th minute of play. In the 20th minute, Mirko Reinders made a precise shot to the right of Jan-Willem de Hoop. Mije's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Jan-Willem de Hoop took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mirko Reinders, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Giel Veenhuis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pittelo FC's Jack de Visscher proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Pittelo FC from getting a goal against them. Mirko Reinders fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan-Willem de Hoop having to interfere. The Mije players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Pittelo FC were winning 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mirko Reinders made a kick off. Giel Veenhuis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Jan-Willem de Hoop tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 53rd match minute, Mije was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dolf Dissels to maneuver through the defense. If Damien Eringa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jan-Willem de Hoop was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Dirk-Jan Kuys. 73 minutes into the game, Jorn van Bronckhorst was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pittelo FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mije the free kick. Jorn van Bronckhorst hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. A collision led to Mije getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Jelmer Vroom hit a great ball. The supporters of Mije booed when Pittelo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorn van Bronckhorst didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Damien Eringa in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jack de Visscher prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 94 minutes, Damien Eringa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mije's supporters crossed their fingers, but Damien Eringa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pittelo FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
