Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Christijan Nibbelke took the kick off in the first half of the match. The audience was convinced that Christijan Nibbelke's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Raymond Baars was relentless in the 3rd minute of the game. Teo van Zijderveld showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jan Rieks in the 9th minute of the match. In the 11thth minute of the game Jan Rieks who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rossum's Teo van Zijderveld was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Raymond Baars showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christijan Nibbelke in the 14th minute of the match. If Christijan Nibbelke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan Rieks in the 22nd minute of play forced Rossum's goalkeeper Teo van Zijderveld to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Jan Rieks managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nieuwland's supporters rose to their feet, but Jan Rieks was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Teo van Zijderveld breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When René de Jong fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rossum's protests and gave René de Jong a yellow card for diving instead. After 28 played minutes Rossum got a freekick which was hit by René de Jong. In the 34th minute, Christijan Nibbelke left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rossum fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Nieuwland's Jan Rieks got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Rossum booed when Nieuwland was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Derk Hoeksma didn't get a good kick on the ball. Boudewijn de Visscher, 44 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 47 minutes into the match, Nieuwland's goal looked a bit too open when Christijan Nibbelke came free, but Raymond Baars reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Nieuwland players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Rossum were winning 0-1.
The wind increased when Jan Rieks made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Jan Rieks managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nieuwland's supporters rose to their feet, but Jan Rieks was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Teo van Zijderveld breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Simon Compaan hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. In the 56th minute of the match Alwin Saanen shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Raymond Baars showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Raymond Baars made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christijan Nibbelke in the 57th minute of play. Christijan Nibbelke sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hans Pragt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raymond Baars having to interfere. If Gerjan Heubach had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Raymond Baars showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christijan Nibbelke in the 78th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Gerjan Heubach managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nieuwland's supporters rose to their feet, but Gerjan Heubach was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Teo van Zijderveld breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Derk Hoeksma charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Derk Hoeksma the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Nieuwland getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Derk Hoeksma hit a great ball. 84 minutes into the match, Nieuwland's goalkeeper Raymond Baars had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hans Pragt. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerjan Heubach in the 86th minute of play forced Rossum's goalkeeper Teo van Zijderveld to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Jan Rieks came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Nieuwland fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jan Rieks couldn't finish the play. In the 92nd minute, Theo Heitinga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 95 minutes into the game, Oscar de Graaf was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nieuwland's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rossum the free kick. A collision led to Nieuwland getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Oscar de Graaf hit a great ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Rossum had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
