After 6 played minutes Oscar Douwes rounded Kandelaar HC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. Michael van Fessum hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sven Zondervan during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Hellouw getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Sven Zondervan hit a great ball. The supporters of Hellouw booed when Kandelaar HC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronald Rademaker didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot by Rik Schuurmans from long distance, 25 minutes into the match, got Pierre Hulzebos's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. 26 minutes into the game, Oscar Douwes recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Pierre Hulzebos. Oscar Douwes showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. After some careless play in the Hellouw defense, Ronald Rademaker kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Leon Huizinga. The Hellouw fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leon Huizinga should have stopped the shot. Benjamin Nedergaard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Oscar Douwes kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Pierre Hulzebos. That made the score 3-1 in the 48 minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.
After some careless play in the Kandelaar HC defense, Oscar Douwes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pierre Hulzebos. The Kandelaar HC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pierre Hulzebos should have stopped the shot. Hellouw's Oscar Douwes got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arjan Luijpers in the 71st minute of play forced Hellouw's goalkeeper Leon Huizinga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oscar Douwes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Pierre Hulzebos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pierre Hulzebos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oscar Douwes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hellouw's Leon Huizinga proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Hellouw from getting a goal against them. Ronald Rademaker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 90 minutes of play, Hellouw's Oscar Douwes made it 5-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pierre Hulzebos was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee felt a red card was in order, 95 minutes into the game, when Henry Poels put in a rough tackle. The goalkeeper, Leon Huizinga, was totally fooled by Kandelaar HC's Oscar Schuurmans, who 98 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Kandelaar HC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
