Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Papendijk Eendracht's Gerard van der Meer started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute Taco Seinstra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leendert Knol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leendert Knol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Taco Seinstra in the 5th minute of play. Evert Vondel charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Evert Vondel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 10th match minute, Beringe HC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Evert Vondel to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot by Jacco Damen from long distance, 11 minutes into the match, got Jordi de Haan's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. An unexpected shot in the 15th minute by Gerard van der Meer got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After having played for 19 minutes, Ate Wieringh managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Beringe HC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ate Wieringh was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jordi de Haan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gerard van der Meer's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. Taco Seinstra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Leendert Knol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 25th minute Ate Wieringh shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leendert Knol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Taco Seinstra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 40 minutes into the game, Co Zwart was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Papendijk Eendracht's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Beringe HC the free kick. In the 47th minute Taco Seinstra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leendert Knol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Ate Wieringh made the kick off in the second half. Julius Valentijn struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Jordi de Haan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Papendijk Eendracht. Jordi de Haan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julius Valentijn in the 56th minute of the match. Jordi de Haan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Julius Valentijn went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. 59 minutes into the match, Harold Blanker notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Beringe HC's Jordi de Haan. Jordi de Haan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jordi de Haan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gerard van der Meer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leendert Knol came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by Beringe HC's Taco Seinstra. But to his dismay, Taco Seinstra quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Taco Seinstra was extremely unlucky when he, in the 75th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After a rather tough play, Papendijk Eendracht's Boukjan Robbermond got a free kick in the 76th minute. Julius Valentijn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 86th minute, Papendijk Eendracht's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Taco Seinstra fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Co Zwart in the 92nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jordi de Haan saved Beringe HC from getting behind. Jordi de Haan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gerard van der Meer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Papendijk Eendracht fans cheered their team off the field, for while Beringe HC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
