Michael Harding's late challenge caught a Paauwenburg HC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After 24 played minutes Paauwenburg HC got a freekick which was hit by Erik Traa. Rien Teuben received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Wilfried Plenter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Kees Elders came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Paauwenburg HC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kees Elders couldn't finish the play. David Karremans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Huib Zuid made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Karremans in the 34th minute of play. Huib Zuid showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Karremans, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Zeelberg's Patrick Teunisse couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 71st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Paauwenburg HC. In the 72ndth minute of the game Rien Teuben who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Paauwenburg HC's Wilfried Plenter was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
