After a defensive mix-up in Blauwewijk FC's zone, Joep van der Doelen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Humberto Heijer came out of the goal and Joep van der Doelen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Joep van der Doelen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Humberto Heijer was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gerald Tonnis in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Humberto Heijer prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gregor Roordink received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Dirk-Jan Oss tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Emiel van der Haar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Dirk-Jan Oss made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Olof Rijaard during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Dirk-Jan Oss was left in no man's land by his defense there! All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Blauwewijk FC had won after a very even match.
