Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Robin Veentjer made the kick off and thus started the match. Cruquius FC's Jim Sturkenboom played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan Hendrik de Jong in the 3rd minute of play. A collision led to Cruquius FC getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Mitchell Terpstra hit a great ball. 11 minutes into the match, Cruquius FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jan Hendrik de Jong came free, but Jim Sturkenboom reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robin Veentjer in the 19th minute of play forced Helmond's goalkeeper Emile Donderwinkel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sebastiaan Bosma hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. It was beautiful to see Helmond's Mirko ten Rouwelaar in action when he in the 31st minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Jan Hendrik de Jong received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Jim Sturkenboom tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Robin Veentjer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Emile Donderwinkel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cruquius FC's Geale Janssens got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Cruquius FC's Robin Veentjer in the 47th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Emile Donderwinkel was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Helmond through an amazing save. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Jan Hendrik de Jong made the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Cruquius FC got a freekick which was hit by Sipke Klasens. In the 52nd minute, Mirko ten Rouwelaar sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Cruquius FC's Jim Sturkenboom didn't even have to move. In the 54th match minute, Cruquius FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Geale Janssens to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Elmar Compaan during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Elmar Compaan kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Geale Janssens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emile Donderwinkel having to interfere. Robin Veentjer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Emile Donderwinkel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Emile Donderwinkel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geale Janssens in the 63rd minute of play. If Geale Janssens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Robin Veentjer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emile Donderwinkel having to interfere. Emile Donderwinkel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robin Veentjer, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Jan Hendrik de Jong might have been able to make a better finish in the 82nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jim Sturkenboom. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jan Hendrik de Jong ran back to his position shaking his head. Jan Hendrik de Jong sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 88 minutes into the match, Marnix Koops had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jim Sturkenboom. Cruquius FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marnix Koops was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. If Geale Janssens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 95th minute, Jan Hendrik de Jong reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jim Sturkenboom. The goal made the score 0-2.
