The supporters of Offerkamp HC booed when Gooi HC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfred van Zaanen didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 30th minute of the match Benjamin Kiewiet shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fred Abbekerk showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Offerkamp HC's Fred Abbekerk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Falco Enting in the 32nd minute of play. After having played for 34 minutes, Bart Kimman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Offerkamp HC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bart Kimman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jasper Wijkstra in the 36th minute of play forced Gooi HC's goalkeeper Henk-Jan Arends to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fred Abbekerk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Falco Enting, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. In the 41st minute Falco Enting shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fred Abbekerk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 42nd minute, Anthony de Jaeger made a precise shot to the right of Fred Abbekerk. Offerkamp HC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. The Offerkamp HC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Gooi HC were winning 0-2.

Henk-Jan Arends took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jasper Wijkstra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 56 minutes into the game, Falco Enting cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Fred Abbekerk was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 61st minute, one of Offerkamp HC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Offerkamp HC. In the 63rd minute there was a penalty for Gooi HC. Benjamin Kiewiet stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Fred Abbekerk. 0-4. When Falco Enting came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Gooi HC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Falco Enting couldn't finish the play. Anthony de Jaeger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fred Abbekerk stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Anthony de Jaeger's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. After having played for 73 minutes, Anthony de Jaeger managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gooi HC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anthony de Jaeger was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Edward Hofkamp kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Bart Kimman struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Henk-Jan Arends didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Offerkamp HC. Jasper Wijkstra took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Henk-Jan Arends. Henk-Jan Arends dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-4. Offerkamp HC's Edward Hofkamp suffered a sore thigh after 94 minutes and couldn't finish the game. During the 94th minute of the match Alfred van Zaanen completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Alfred van Zaanen a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Falco Enting's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Fred Abbekerk firmly grabbed it by the left post. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Gooi HC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
