Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Jan Huisman took the kick off in the first half of the match. After 4 minutes, Dirk Roeles mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Renesse and the Kijfhoek HC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 4th minute, Dirk Roeles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lucien Damstra was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 5th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 10th minute, Geale Plenter hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Kijfhoek HC's Lucien Damstra tried to score from far away in the 10th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Jelle Wessel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Jelle Wessel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Gilbert Steen fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kijfhoek HC's protests and gave Gilbert Steen a yellow card for diving instead. In the 17th match minute, Kijfhoek HC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gilbert Steen to maneuver through the defense. Jan Huisman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mario Pothuizen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. If Jan Huisman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Diderik Borgman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mario Pothuizen having to interfere. A collision led to Kijfhoek HC getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Rick Klaasens hit a great ball. In the 40th match minute, Renesse was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dirk Roeles to maneuver through the defense. Diderik Borgman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Mario Pothuizen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Renesse were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Jan Huisman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 59 minutes into the match, Kijfhoek HC's goalkeeper Nico van der Stoel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gertjan Korf. Gilbert Steen hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Renesse's Mario Pothuizen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diderik Borgman in the 67th minute of play. Gertjan Korfs short, quick shot in the 69thth minute got Nico van der Stoel to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 71 minutes into the match, Kijfhoek HC's goal looked a bit too open when Jelle Wessel came free, but Nico van der Stoel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gertjan Korf sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With his leg Nico van der Stoel managed to avoid a goal in the 74thth minute, when Renesse's Gertjan Korf fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. A collision led to Kijfhoek HC getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Floris de Boer hit a great ball. Renesse's Michel Tonnis couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 77th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Kijfhoek HC. In the 80th minute, Gertjan Korf got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gertjan Korf could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Nico van der Stoel made a huge save. 93 minutes into the match, Kijfhoek HC's Diderik Borgman sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mario Pothuizen narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
