The audience was convinced that Mathieu Neeskens's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Michel Boon was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. Gio Lindeman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roy Brandsma, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Turkeije HC's Freek Post got a free kick in the 30th minute. Duifhuis FC's Rien Derks got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sjaak Dagelet kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. 34 minutes into the match, Duifhuis FC's Rien Derks sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gio Lindeman narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Turkeije HC getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. The supporters of Duifhuis FC booed when Turkeije HC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sjaak Dagelet didn't get a good kick on the ball. Roy Brandsma received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Gio Lindeman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mathieu Neeskens to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Roy Brandsma shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gio Lindeman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 55 minutes into the match, Turkeije HC's goal looked a bit too open when Rien Derks came free, but Gio Lindeman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Turkeije HC defense, Rien Derks kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gio Lindeman. The Turkeije HC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gio Lindeman should have stopped the shot. Duifhuis FC's Michel Boon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mathieu Neeskens in the 68th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ralph Dam during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Duifhuis FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
