An unexpectedly hard shot by Arne Wijkstra in the 21st minute of play forced Wullenhoven's goalkeeper Jelmer Ewald to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 23 minutes, Arne Wijkstra managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Turkeije HC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arne Wijkstra was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 29 minutes into the match, Wullenhoven's goal looked a bit too open when Arne Wijkstra came free, but Jelmer Ewald reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Wullenhoven booed when Turkeije HC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mathieu Neeskens didn't get a good kick on the ball. 33 minutes into the match, Wullenhoven's Hub Plaggenborg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gio Lindeman narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a little luck, Turkeije HC's Gio Lindeman got control of the ball when Henk-Jan Perk tried to sneak it across the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 37 minutes, Gio Lindeman successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Turkeije HC's Gio Lindeman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Turkeije HC from getting a goal against them. Wullenhoven's Jelmer Ewald played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mathieu Neeskens in the 39th minute of play. The supporters of Wullenhoven booed when Turkeije HC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bjorn Owusu Abeyie didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wullenhoven's Hub Plaggenborg managed to work through Turkeije HC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Hub Plaggenborg dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Nathan Aalst hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. After 45 played minutes Wullenhoven got a freekick which was hit by Hub Plaggenborg. Gio Lindeman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hub Plaggenborg in the 47th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mathieu Neeskens made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Wullenhoven's zone, Mathieu Neeskens stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jelmer Ewald came out of the goal and Mathieu Neeskens tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Leon Baan charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leon Baan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Leon Baan kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Turkeije HC's supporters stood up full of expectation in the 60th minute of the game, when Sjaak Dagelet after an extraordinary solo performance found himself with a golden opportunity in front of Wullenhoven's goal. Sjaak Dagelet was unfortunally a little to anxious and the ball went outside the goal. Arne Wijkstra blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jelmer Ewald having to make a save. Hub Plaggenborg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Gio Lindeman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Wullenhoven booed when Turkeije HC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nathan Aalst didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gio Lindeman didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Henk-Jan Perk went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Mathieu Neeskens managed to get in a good position for a shot. Turkeije HC's supporters rose to their feet, but Mathieu Neeskens was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jelmer Ewald breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 89th minute, Henk-Jan Perk got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Henk-Jan Perk took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gio Lindeman. Gio Lindeman dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Wullenhoven fans cheered their team off the field, for while Turkeije HC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
