Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Pieter Ruben made the kick off which started today's match. Lennart Breugel's late challenge caught a Schillaard's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lennart Breugel helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Schillaard booed when Wittem HC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lennart Breugel didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 6th minute, Danny Collins ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bram Rogaars was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 10th minute Danny Collins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bram Rogaars saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 12 minutes, Johannes Sleiffer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Schillaard and the Wittem HC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 12th minute, Johannes Sleiffer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 13 played minutes Wittem HC got a freekick which was hit by Pieter Ruben. With a little luck, Schillaard's Marc van Mol got control of the ball when Mark Post tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Wittem HC's Pieter Ruben in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Schillaard's goalie prevented a goal. Schillaard's Marc van Mol played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pieter Ruben in the 22nd minute of play. After 30 played minutes Schillaard got a freekick which was hit by John Zilverberg. 35 minutes into the match, Wittem HC's goal looked a bit too open when Henry Bekker came free, but Bram Rogaars reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 46 minutes, Kevin Hilkes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Wittem HC and the Schillaard players grew even worse after the yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Wittem HC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 45th minute. Penalty! In the 48th minute there was a penalty for Schillaard. Ernest Vrieling stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Bram Rogaars. 0-2. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Henry Bekker stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Schillaard's goalkeeper Marc van Mol, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Schillaard booed when Wittem HC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jeffrey Oorschot didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 61st minute, Pieter Ruben left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Wittem HC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Mark Post managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wittem HC's supporters rose to their feet, but Mark Post was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marc van Mol breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 70th minute of the match Jos ten Rouwelaar shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marc van Mol showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Wittem HC's zone, Henry Bekker stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bram Rogaars came out of the goal and Henry Bekker tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Johannes Sleiffer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 79th minute, Henry Bekker got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Henry Bekker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bram Rogaars having to interfere. 84 minutes into the game, Jeffrey Oorschot was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Wittem HC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Schillaard the free kick. In the 84th minute, Jeffrey Oorschot hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Wittem HC's Bram Rogaars got control of the ball when Henry Bekker tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mark Post received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Marc van Mol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mark Post recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Henry Bekker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Bram Rogaars tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bram Rogaars made an important save on a dangerous shot by Henry Bekker in the 98th minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Schillaard walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
