Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Marco Hillen kicked off to start the match. Arjen Hindriks made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Klaas Jan Meijer in the 3rd minute of play. Marco Hillen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gerben Gulpen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Rinus Kleine tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nathan Bemmel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Terwolte's Gerben Gulpen got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 41st match minute, Terwolte was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thijs Wiggers to maneuver through the defense. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Guus Sanders kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mechelen's goalkeeper Rinus Kleine, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rinus Kleine showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerben Gulpen in the 76th minute of the match. Arjen Hindriks made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Nathan Bemmel sent off a good shot on target. Rinus Kleine took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marco Hillen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 89th match minute, Mechelen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matthijs Bulder to maneuver through the defense. In the 96th minute Marco Hillen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rinus Kleine saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
