Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Terwolte's Marco Hillen started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Thijs Wiggers charged in rather forcefully in the 2nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Thijs Wiggers the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Terwolte getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Thijs Wiggers hit a great ball. In the 6th minute Gerrie Ranzijn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arjen Hindriks saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 8th play minutes Pepijn Akkerman shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Arjen Hindriks and just under the crossbar into goal. Gerben Gulpen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gijs Owusu Abeyie having to make a save. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 20th minute of the game. One of Terwolte:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Krimpen:s goal. If Gerrie Ranzijn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Pepijn Akkerman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 34 minutes into the game, Gerrie Ranzijn was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Krimpen's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Terwolte the free kick. Gijs Owusu Abeyie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marco Hillen, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Gerrie Ranzijn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Arjen Hindriks tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Krimpen were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The wind increased when Pepijn Akkerman made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes in the game, Pepijn Akkerman fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Arjen Hindriks having to interfere. Pepijn Akkerman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arjen Hindriks having to interfere. Arjen Hindriks showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pepijn Akkerman, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Gerrie Ranzijn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Arjen Hindriks tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Terwolte defense, Gerrie Ranzijn kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arjen Hindriks. The Terwolte fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arjen Hindriks should have stopped the shot. Arjen Hindriks showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pepijn Akkerman in the 70th minute of the match. Arjen Hindriks came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by Krimpen's Gerrie Ranzijn. But to his dismay, Gerrie Ranzijn quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. A collision led to Terwolte getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Gerwin Bartels hit a great ball. If Marco Hillen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 83 minutes into the match, Krimpen's goal looked a bit too open when Gerben Gulpen came free, but Gijs Owusu Abeyie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gerrie Ranzijn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Arjen Hindriks tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Krimpen supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Krimpen would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
