Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Remco Planting kicked off to start the match. Remond Wagenaar kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. If Gert Hagenouw had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eys FC's Derk Hartogh played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Japke Germs in the 8th minute of play. When Thijs Nieuwendijk fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Eys FC's protests and gave Thijs Nieuwendijk a yellow card for diving instead. Remond Wagenaar got his second yellow card in the match during the 13th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, Horsen HC's Remond Wagenaar got a free kick in the 14th minute. Japke Germs's late challenge caught a Eys FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Japke Germs helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Horsen HC getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Japke Germs hit a great ball. If Remco Planting had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Horsen HC getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Gertjan Wiggers hit a great ball. Tom Rademaker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Horsen HC's Carel Weken played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Remco Planting in the 37th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Horsen HC's zone, Tom Rademaker stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carel Weken came out of the goal and Tom Rademaker tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Remco Planting fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carel Weken having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gert Hagenouw to strike the kick off in the second half. Gert Hagenouw received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Derk Hartogh tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tom Rademaker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carel Weken having to interfere. 76 minutes into the match, Horsen HC's goal looked a bit too open when Remco Planting came free, but Carel Weken reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Remco Planting came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Eys FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Remco Planting couldn't finish the play. In the 83rd play minute Tom Rademaker came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Carel Weken. 1-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kurt Daamen during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tom Rademaker got free with Carel Weken in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Eys FC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
