Hans Kuys showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Remco Planting, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. 13 minutes into the match, Vinkwijk FC's goal looked a bit too open when Remco Planting came free, but Hans Kuys reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 13 played minutes Vinkwijk FC got a freekick which was hit by Wilfred Stout. Tom Rademaker's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hans Kuys read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. Eys FC's Derk Hartogh proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Eys FC from getting a goal against them. 23 minutes into the match, Eys FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sjef Gerseke came free, but Derk Hartogh reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 24 minutes, Sjef Gerseke managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vinkwijk FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sjef Gerseke was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eys FC's attack was well implemented in the 28th minute, but when Remco Planting was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. Sjef Gerseke received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Derk Hartogh tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Hans Kuys made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tom Rademaker in the 55th minute. Tom Rademaker struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Hans Kuys didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Eys FC. If Barry Hekman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 67 minutes into the game, Andreas Scholte was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Eys FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vinkwijk FC the free kick. The supporters of Vinkwijk FC booed when Eys FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andreas Scholte didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 70th minute of the match Vinkwijk FC got a corner. Eys FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ryan Schaeffer ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Vinkwijk FC's corner Ryan Schaeffer fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Derk Hartogh quite easily take care of the ball. After 71 minutes, Tom Rademaker mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Eys FC and the Vinkwijk FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Tom Rademaker kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Sjef Gerseke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Derk Hartogh having to interfere. After 76 minutes, Wilfred Stout mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vinkwijk FC and the Eys FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Hans Kuys made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Remco Planting in the 77th minute of play. In the 79th minute Remco Planting shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hans Kuys saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hans Kuys made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tom Rademaker in the 80th minute. Derk Hartogh took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sjef Gerseke, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Vinkwijk FC booed when Eys FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thijs Nieuwendijk didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Barry Hekman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vinkwijk FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Barry Hekman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Derk Hartogh breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vinkwijk FC's Hans Kuys played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Remco Planting in the 90th minute of play. Derk Hartogh stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sjef Gerseke's shot from short distance in the 96th minute.
