Michel Beukenkamp took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diderik Onrust, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joeri Derksen in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Michel Beukenkamp prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Krommenie's Diderik Onrust got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 22 minutes into the game, Joeri Derksen cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Michel Beukenkamp was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Teo Dalmeijer kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Michel Beukenkamp stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Joeri Derksen's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. If Diderik Onrust had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 43 minutes into the match, Krommenie's goalkeeper Marcus Heebels had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Diderik Koeling. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joeri Derksen was the one to do the kick off. Aijen HC's Michel Beukenkamp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joeri Derksen in the 72nd minute of play. In the 75thth minute of the game Joeri Derksen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Aijen HC's Michel Beukenkamp was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Diderik Koeling in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcus Heebels saved Krommenie from getting behind. The crowd rose to their feet as Krommenie's Joeri Derksen slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Michel Beukenkamp. That made the score 2-2 after 84 minutes of play. Krommenie's Joeri Derksen got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
