Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Godfried Nelissen made the kick off which started today's match. In the 3rd minute, Klaus Stok got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nick Wolf showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erwin Bakhuis, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Klaus Stok received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Michael Schaeffer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 14th minute, Spekhoek's Godfried Nelissen dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Godfried Nelissen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Michael Schaeffer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 20 minutes into the match, Geijsteren FC's goalkeeper Michael Schaeffer had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Klaus Stok. In the 23rd minute, Spekhoek's Klaus Stok dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. After 26 minutes, Rik Wijker mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Geijsteren FC and the Spekhoek players grew even worse after the yellow card. Rik Wijker hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edward Brandsma in the 40th minute of play forced Spekhoek's goalkeeper Nick Wolf to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Godfried Nelissen kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Michael Schaeffer. That made the score 3-0 in the 42 minute of play. After 46 minutes, Japke Fens mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Spekhoek and the Geijsteren FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Spekhoek fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 45th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Geijsteren FC a penalty, 48 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Rik Wijker, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Spekhoek's Nick Wolf. 3-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

The wind increased when Edward Brandsma made the kick off in the second half. Erwin Bakhuis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nick Wolf having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Karel Fokkens managed to get in a good position for a shot. Spekhoek's supporters rose to their feet, but Karel Fokkens was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Michael Schaeffer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nick Wolf made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edward Brandsma in the 65th minute of play. In the 66th minute, Spekhoek's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Erwin Bakhuis fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Godfried Nelissen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Michael Schaeffer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Klaus Stok in the 71st minute of the match. Nick Wolf made an important save on a dangerous shot by Erwin Bakhuis in the 76th minute. If Edward Brandsma had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 79th minute, Christijan Kolkman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Klaus Stok in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Michael Schaeffer saved Geijsteren FC from getting behind. If Klaus Stok had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 98 minutes of play, Spekhoek's Godfried Nelissen made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Michael Schaeffer was left in no man's land by his defense there! The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Spekhoek had won after a very even match.
