Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Nyawier's Alexander Brandsma started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Sjef Ebbinge got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eric Friebel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robbie Kooij, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sjef Ebbinge in the 7thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Eric Friebel, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Robbie Kooij received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Eric Friebel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sjef Ebbinge fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eric Friebel having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Hogebrug's Sjef Ebbinge got a free kick in the 18th minute. In the 21st minute, Adriaan Castelen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alexander Brandsma fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gert Wijnands having to interfere. Klaas Jan Blank fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gert Wijnands having to interfere. Eric Friebel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robbie Kooij in the 28th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kurt Schiphouwer during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Hogebrug booed when Nyawier was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kurt Schiphouwer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gert Wijnands stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alexander Brandsma's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. Sjors Korfs's late challenge caught a Nyawier's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sjors Korfs helped the player get up and apologised. After 41 played minutes Hogebrug got a freekick which was hit by Sjors Korfs. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Robbie Kooij stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Nyawier's Jan-Willem van Bronckhorst got a free kick in the 54th minute. Hogebrug's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Mario Cales in the 57th minute. After taking down the ball on Hogebrug's corner Sjoerd Kruis fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Eric Friebel quite easily take care of the ball. Alexander Brandsma recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 62nd match minute, Nyawier was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jan-Willem van Bronckhorst to maneuver through the defense. In the 63rd minute, one of Nyawier:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Nyawier. In the 65th minute there was a penalty for Hogebrug. Mario Cales stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Eric Friebel. 1-0. Kristof van Dijk kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Nyawier's zone, Sjef Ebbinge stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eric Friebel came out of the goal and Sjef Ebbinge tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jan-Willem van Bronckhorst kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. In the 75th minute of the match Mario Cales sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Eric Friebel skillfully saved the ball. With an all-out effort, Nyawier's Gert Wijnands threw himself towards the right post 79 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Alexander Brandsma, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Hogebrug's Gert Wijnands proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Hogebrug from getting a goal against them. Robbie Kooij struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Eric Friebel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hogebrug. After some careless play in the Nyawier defense, Sjef Ebbinge kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eric Friebel. The Nyawier fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eric Friebel should have stopped the shot. Klaas Jan Blank received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Gert Wijnands tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gert Wijnands made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexander Brandsma in the 95th minute of play. Nyawier's Klaas Jan Blank came free and shot a quick shot against goal 96 minutes in the game, fortunately Gert Wijnands had problems saving as it came toward the left post. Eric Friebel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robbie Kooij, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
