After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Herman Koole managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aekinga SV's supporters rose to their feet, but Herman Koole was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gerrie Boswijk breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Henry Lanting showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adriaan Klasen in the 9th minute of the match. 11 minutes into the match, Aekinga SV's goal looked a bit too open when Adriaan Klasen came free, but Henry Lanting reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 12 minutes into the match, Aekinga SV's goalkeeper Henry Lanting had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bennie Fleur. After 13 played minutes Aekinga SV got a freekick which was hit by Tonnie Theissen. With 15 minutes on the clock, Roland Meppelink commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 15 minutes into the game, one of Aekinga SV:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Aekinga SV:s Henry Lanting showed great skill when he stopped Gert Borker:s penalty. Gert Borker did an outstanding performance 18 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 1-0 to the right of an irritated Henry Lanting in the goal. Gerrie Boswijk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Herman Koole in the 21st minute of the match. Jurre van Gastel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gerrie Boswijk having to interfere. Henry Lanting took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adriaan Klasen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Henry Lanting made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adriaan Klasen in the 30th minute of play. Jasper Jonge kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. When Jurre van Gastel came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Aekinga SV fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jurre van Gastel couldn't finish the play. In the 52nd minute, Adriaan Klasen left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bajum SV fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. The supporters of Bajum SV booed when Aekinga SV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronald Dirks didn't get a good kick on the ball. 57 minutes into the match, Aekinga SV's goal looked a bit too open when Adriaan Klasen came free, but Henry Lanting reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 58 minutes, Herman Koole managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Aekinga SV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Herman Koole was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Herman Koole had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gerrie Boswijk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jurre van Gastel in the 67th minute of play. When the match clock showed 72 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Herman Koole sped through Bajum SV's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gerrie Boswijk. Roeland Batenburg hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. In the 80th minute, Herman Koole got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Herman Koole got free with Gerrie Boswijk in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Jasper Jonge had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The Bajum SV players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
