Johannes Staarman made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Bennie Platvoet sent off a good shot on target. Bennie Platvoet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Johannes Staarman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Herman Koole managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aekinga SV's supporters rose to their feet, but Herman Koole was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Johannes Staarman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bennie Platvoet could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Johannes Staarman made a huge save. Aekinga SV's Tonnie Theissen got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Maikel Fleur scored 0-1 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Henry Lanting, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 28th minute, Maikel Fleur ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Henry Lanting was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. After a defensive mix-up in Stamproy FC's zone, Jurre van Gastel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Johannes Staarman came out of the goal and Jurre van Gastel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 36 minutes into the match, Aekinga SV's Jurre van Gastel sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Johannes Staarman narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Herman Koole sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 42nd minute, Herman Koole fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Rudi Kleiker was shown his second yellow card after 48 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 48th minute, Rudi Kleiker hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bennie Platvoet to make the kick off. Johannes Staarman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bennie Platvoet, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. If Herman Koole had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jurre van Gastel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johannes Staarman having to interfere. In the 60th minute, Herman Koole left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Aekinga SV fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. In the 67th match minute, Stamproy FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jan Daamen to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Aekinga SV's Ahmet Nasir Başkurt got a free kick in the 70th minute. After 71 played minutes, Stamproy FC's Jan Daamen shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Henry Lanting came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Stamproy FC reached it. In the 74th minute, Jurre van Gastel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jurre van Gastel scored 2-2 in the 77th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Johannes Staarman, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Johannes Staarman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bennie Platvoet, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. In the 84th minute Herman Koole shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Johannes Staarman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind Stamproy FC's goalkeeper Johannes Staarman, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
