Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Taco Meulman took the kick off in the first half of the match. A collision led to Meerselo FC getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Daniel Zandberg hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Meerselo FC's zone, Bastiaan Ottens stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joop Zalm came out of the goal and Bastiaan Ottens tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 11 minutes, Bastiaan Ottens made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Meerselo FC's Joop Zalm tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 17th minute Taco Meulman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arie van Steensel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Karsten de Zaaijer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Joop Zalm tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Geert Olfers charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Geert Olfers the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 25th minute, one of Meerselo FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Meerselo FC. The referee gave Veenebrugge a penalty, 27 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Andre Dalman, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Meerselo FC's Joop Zalm. 2-0. In the 32nd match minute, Meerselo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nick Melis to maneuver through the defense. Joop Zalm acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 33rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Andre Dalman. 38 minutes into the match, Meerselo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Kelvin Bok came free, but Joop Zalm reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Corné van der Weerden hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. 45 minutes into the game, Elmar de Jong cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Arie van Steensel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kelvin Bok was the one to do the kick off. Kelvin Bok received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Joop Zalm tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joop Zalm showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kelvin Bok, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. 69 minutes into the match, Meerselo FC's Elmar de Jong sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arie van Steensel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jacobus Heuvel's late challenge caught a Meerselo FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jacobus Heuvel helped the player get up and apologised. In the 69th match minute, Veenebrugge was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jacobus Heuvel to maneuver through the defense. In the 71st minute, Elmar de Jong got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Meerselo FC booed when Veenebrugge was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gerben Eulen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kelvin Bok recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Veenebrugge walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
