Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Billy Cornelisse made the kick off and thus started the match. Pepijn Soer's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jan Hendrik Vennegoor read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. Billy Cornelisse sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Erben de Coninck fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored KS.OSS's protests and gave Erben de Coninck a yellow card for diving instead. Stephan Heijen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan Hendrik Vennegoor having to interfere. 20 minutes into the match, KS.OSS's goal looked a bit too open when Billy Cornelisse came free, but Jan Hendrik Vennegoor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gregor Kooij recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 25 minutes into the match, Billy Cornelisse had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jan Hendrik Vennegoor. KS.OSS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Billy Cornelisse was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Kapolder RKSV's defense didn't have a chance, in the 34th minute, when Gregor Kooij scored to the left of an out of position Falco Tamminga, making the score, 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Erben de Coninck managed to get in a good position for a shot. KS.OSS's supporters rose to their feet, but Erben de Coninck was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Falco Tamminga breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Billy Cornelisse in the 40th minute of play forced KS.OSS's goalkeeper Jan Hendrik Vennegoor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Stephan Heijen came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Kapolder RKSV fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stephan Heijen couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the KS.OSS defense, Billy Cornelisse kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jan Hendrik Vennegoor. The KS.OSS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jan Hendrik Vennegoor should have stopped the shot.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gregor Kooij made a kick off. With a little luck, KS.OSS's Jan Hendrik Vennegoor got control of the ball when Stephan Heijen tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 57 played minutes KS.OSS got a freekick which was hit by Gooitzen Terpstra. Chiel Mueller charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Chiel Mueller the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Chiel Mueller hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Gregor Kooij blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Falco Tamminga having to make a save. After having played for 66 minutes, Gregor Kooij managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KS.OSS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gregor Kooij was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Stephan Heijen got free with Jan Hendrik Vennegoor in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to KS.OSS getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Roland Theuws hit a great ball. Kapolder RKSV's Billy Cornelisse got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gregor Kooij received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Falco Tamminga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 95 minutes into the game, Luuk Maurits was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. KS.OSS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kapolder RKSV the free kick. After 95 played minutes KS.OSS got a freekick which was hit by Luuk Maurits. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Kapolder RKSV walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
