Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Nieuwoord RKSV's Kristof Kosterman started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 3 minutes, Stef Veldkamp managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Benedenheul's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stef Veldkamp was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jan Telkamp showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kristof Kosterman in the 10th minute of the match. In the 12th minute, Nieuwoord RKSV's Richard Roeles ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jan Telkamp. Jan Telkamp yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. In the 15th match minute, Benedenheul was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ron Bouma to maneuver through the defense. After 18 minutes Benedenheul's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Han Bernard who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Nieuwoord RKSV's Richard Roeles to fire away a dangerous shot which Jan Telkamp despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Jan Telkamp didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 24th minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. After 26 played minutes Nieuwoord RKSV got a freekick which was hit by Elco de Swart. With a little luck, Benedenheul's Jan Telkamp got control of the ball when Richard Roeles tried to sneak it across the goal line. Kristof Kosterman struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Jan Telkamp didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nieuwoord RKSV. Richard Roeles who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 34thth minute tested the skills of Jan Telkamp when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Kristof Kosterman struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Jan Telkamp didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nieuwoord RKSV. Jan Telkamp made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Richard Roeles sent off a good shot on target. When Jan-Peter Maseland came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Benedenheul fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jan-Peter Maseland couldn't finish the play. Jan-Peter Maseland received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Chiel Kuypers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jan-Peter Maseland to make the kick off. Jan Telkamp showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kristof Kosterman, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jan-Peter Maseland in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Chiel Kuypers saved Nieuwoord RKSV from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Benedenheul's zone, Richard Roeles stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jan Telkamp came out of the goal and Richard Roeles tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kristof Kosterman in the 70th minute of play forced Benedenheul's goalkeeper Jan Telkamp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 71 minutes, Richard Roeles managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nieuwoord RKSV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Richard Roeles was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jan-Peter Maseland fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chiel Kuypers having to interfere. Jan-Willem Klooster might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Chiel Kuypers. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jan-Willem Klooster ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Nieuwoord RKSV's Jos Alards got a free kick in the 78th minute. Benedenheul's Jacobus Boshuis couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 79th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Nieuwoord RKSV. Jan Telkamp came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Nieuwoord RKSV's Richard Roeles. But to his dismay, Richard Roeles quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. 86 minutes into the match, Nieuwoord RKSV's Han Bernard broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. A collision led to Nieuwoord RKSV getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Elco de Swart hit a great ball. In the 96th match minute, Nieuwoord RKSV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emiel Knuppel to maneuver through the defense. Nieuwoord RKSV were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Benedenheul for a fine match.
