Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) KFC Vilvoorde's Jelmer Moes started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Bertus Mueller left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Spanbroek S.V. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. When Jelmer Moes came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the KFC Vilvoorde fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jelmer Moes couldn't finish the play. In the 14th minute, Geert Arend Stegeman reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Cees Fikkers. The goal made the score 2-0. Dave Klijnstra struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Fokke de Ridder didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for KFC Vilvoorde. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Henry Greef managed to get in a good position for a shot. KFC Vilvoorde's supporters rose to their feet, but Henry Greef was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fokke de Ridder breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Godfried de Zeeuw sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 26 minutes, Jelmer Moes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KFC Vilvoorde's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jelmer Moes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dave Klijnstra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Fokke de Ridder tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. KFC Vilvoorde's Jelmer Moes got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Henry Greef fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fokke de Ridder having to interfere. Fokke de Ridder took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dave Klijnstra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Spanbroek S.V.'s zone, Henry Greef stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fokke de Ridder came out of the goal and Henry Greef tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Geert Arend Stegeman was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in KFC Vilvoorde's zone, Klaus Kip stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cees Fikkers came out of the goal and Klaus Kip tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 57 minutes into the match, Spanbroek S.V.'s goalkeeper Fokke de Ridder had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dave Klijnstra. Henk Davids kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Cees Fikkers came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Spanbroek S.V.'s Bertus Mueller. But to his dismay, Bertus Mueller quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Fokke de Ridder made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dave Klijnstra in the 66th minute. Ricky van Dijk took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 68th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Fokke de Ridder. Spanbroek S.V.'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Dave Klijnstra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Spanbroek S.V.'s zone, Jelmer Moes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fokke de Ridder came out of the goal and Jelmer Moes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Henry Greef blasted a shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fokke de Ridder having to make a save. When Jelmer Moes came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the KFC Vilvoorde fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jelmer Moes couldn't finish the play. Henry Greef recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fokke de Ridder showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Godfried de Zeeuw in the 85th minute of the match. When Godfried de Zeeuw came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the KFC Vilvoorde fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Godfried de Zeeuw couldn't finish the play. In the 94th minute, Edgard Zorge hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Spanbroek S.V. booed when KFC Vilvoorde was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henry Greef didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Spanbroek S.V. support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
