Foeke Sandbergen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Geert Arend Westerhof, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Jonatan Kihlman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. When the match clock showed 37 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Nicanor Formerio sped through Sweet Dreams's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Huib van der Bij. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nicanor Formerio in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Huib van der Bij saved Sweet Dreams from getting behind. Jordi Sándor took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 44th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Huib van der Bij. Sweet Dreams's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Henry Harmannus hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. The supporters of POWERPLAY booed when Sweet Dreams was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dolf Bemmel didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 69th minute, Marco Beuneker fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Huib van der Bij, passed just outside the right post. Foeke Sandbergen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geert Arend Westerhof in the 71st minute of play. With a little luck, Sweet Dreams's Huib van der Bij got control of the ball when Marco Beuneker tried to sneak it across the goal line. 80 minutes into the match, POWERPLAY's goal looked a bit too open when Geert Arend Westerhof came free, but Foeke Sandbergen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nicanor Formerio took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Huib van der Bij. Huib van der Bij dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. POWERPLAY played a much better game than Sweet Dreams and deserved their victory. The Sweet Dreams players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
