Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Joost Boelens made the kick off which started today's match. Gerrit Kooij kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. In the 8th minute, Peter Reinhard left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rasquert S.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. If Serge Schulte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Peter Reinhard might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Wilfred Schuttrup. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Peter Reinhard ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 21st minute, Joost Boelens got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Serge Schulte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Melik SV booed when Rasquert S.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gerrit Kooij didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 24 minutes, Joost Boelens managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Melik SV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joost Boelens was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Serge Schulte who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 29thth minute tested the skills of Arjan van Veldhuizen when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Joost Boelens received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Arjan van Veldhuizen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Melik SV's Serge Schulte got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Melik SV's zone, Theo Verbeek stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wilfred Schuttrup came out of the goal and Theo Verbeek tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Wilfred Schuttrup made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Theo Verbeek in the 41st minute of play. After some careless play in the Melik SV defense, Peter Reinhard kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wilfred Schuttrup. The Melik SV fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wilfred Schuttrup should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Melik SV booed when Rasquert S.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gerrit Kooij didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Peter Reinhard to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice moves Theo Verbeek could shoot a difficult shot in the 64th minute, which Wilfred Schuttrup however easily saved by the left post. Theo Verbeek recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 70th minute, Theo Verbeek fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Wilfred Schuttrup showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Peter Reinhard in the 72nd minute of the match. 73 minutes into the game, Theo Verbeek was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rasquert S.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Melik SV the free kick. After a rather tough play, Rasquert S.C.'s Theo Verbeek got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Arjan van Veldhuizen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joost Boelens, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Serge Schulte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arjan van Veldhuizen having to interfere. Arjan van Veldhuizen came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Melik SV's Joost Boelens. But to his dismay, Joost Boelens quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Arjan van Veldhuizen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Serge Schulte, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joost Boelens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Rasquert S.C. players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
