Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Henk Neeskens started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Jordy Engelaar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henk Neeskens, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marco Paas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Erik Engbers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Bennekom's Albert van der Laan in the 8th minute got a chance for a shot 8th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Willemsoord's goalie prevented a goal. Erik Engbers was out of position in the 13 minute of play, and Albert van der Laan capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Albert van der Laan really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dimitrie Lubbers during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Willemsoord getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Dimitrie Lubbers hit a great ball. Jordy Engelaar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henk Neeskens in the 33rd minute of the match. Hub Schophuis hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Erik Engbers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albert van der Laan in the 38th minute of play. Henk Neeskens received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Jordy Engelaar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 45th minute, Albert van der Laan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Albert van der Laan made a kick off. Erik Engbers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlo Bosma, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Marco Paas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bennekom's supporters rose to their feet, but Marco Paas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Erik Engbers breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Henk Neeskens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jordy Engelaar having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albert van der Laan in the 69th minute of play forced Willemsoord's goalkeeper Erik Engbers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bennekom's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Nico Trenning in the 71st minute. Albert van der Laan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cor Vaalman kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Albert van der Laan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Willemsoord's Erik Engbers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albert van der Laan in the 78th minute of play. Erik Engbers came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Bennekom's Albert van der Laan. But to his dismay, Albert van der Laan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. A collision led to Willemsoord getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Alfred Halen hit a great ball. There was no doubt that Bennekom were the better team. Bennekom's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
