After a rather tough play, Tilhgte S.C.'s Rudi van Asseldonk got a free kick in the 14th minute. If Rudi van Asseldonk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Tilhgte S.C. booed when Heppert Eendracht was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cor Venema didn't get a good kick on the ball. Heiko Reints hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Jacco Kloppenburg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jordi Tieman having to interfere. 40 minutes into the match, Tilhgte S.C.'s Henry Koopmans sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Stefano Vervoort narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Bennie Oost managed to get in a good position for a shot. Heppert Eendracht's supporters rose to their feet, but Bennie Oost was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jordi Tieman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tilhgte S.C.'s Jordi Tieman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 48th minute of the match, managed to save Tilhgte S.C. from getting a goal against them. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rudi van Asseldonk made a kick off. Rudi van Asseldonk kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Bennie Oost fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jordi Tieman having to interfere. Bennie Oost sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. For all the effort they put into the match, the Tilhgte S.C. players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Heppert Eendracht.
