Edgard Mols tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edgard Mols showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernard Luijten, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Fokke Daems made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luuk van der Aa in the 15th minute of play. Jelle Vrieling charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jelle Vrieling the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jelle Vrieling hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Fokke Daems didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Simon Deijkers went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 27th minute Luuk van der Aa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fokke Daems saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Simon Deijkers in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fokke Daems saved Mun from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Simon Deijkers put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Fokke Daems. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mun's goalkeeper Fokke Daems, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 35 minutes into the match, Mun's goal looked a bit too open when Luuk van der Aa came free, but Fokke Daems reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 47 played minutes Mun got a freekick which was hit by Bernard Luijten. After the first half BackAgain were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bernard Luijten stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Mun's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Simon Deijkers 56 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-3. In the 60th match minute, Mun was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jouke Boerma to maneuver through the defense. In the 61st minute of the match Jan Jongsma sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fokke Daems skillfully saved the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luuk van der Aa got free with Fokke Daems in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luuk van der Aa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fokke Daems having to interfere. The supporters of BackAgain booed when Mun was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gido van der Sar didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Luuk van der Aa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fokke Daems took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Simon Deijkers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Roland Baker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fokke Daems having to interfere. Luuk van der Aa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Mun supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching BackAgain's performance. The match ended with a win for BackAgain.
